Karina Modular Staircase Beautifies a West Virginia Cabin

Mike Weber of Sterling, VA sent us some photos of our Karina Modular Staircase in his cabin...

I just completed the installation of the Karina kit I bought a few months ago at our WV cabin. I am sending you some photos of the finished stairs, please use the photo on your website if you can. It looked great and really made access to our cabin loft a lot safer than the wood ladder we had been using.

Karina Modular Staircase Featured on Premier Episode of HGTV's New Series "reZONED"

Karina Installation Creates Easy Access to an Attic

John used one of our Karina modular stair kits to create better and safer access to an attic in a very tight space:

"As you can see, the space I had to install my new stairs was very small. The dimensions are 4 feet 6 inches by 23 inches. From the floor to the top of the opening is 104 inches. The Karina stairs replaced a set of attic pull down stairs. I had to widen the space by turning the studs sideways so I can put the railing on (not on yet in these photos). It was pretty tight working in the space but, as you can see, everything worked out. My wife is ecstatic because the stairs don't twist and bend when she walks on them like the pull down stairs did." Karina Stair Kit Helps a Wish Come True

Mary from the Cedar Hill Design Center used one of our Karina modular stair kits to help with a project benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation:

"The Parade Home was one of seven show homes for an Annual Parade of Homes sponsored by the Dallas National Association of Home Builders. It benefitted the Make A Wish Foundation and every home had a room in it decorated around a child's wish that had been granted. Our child, Giovanna, had wished for a club house to get away from her brothers. We selected the Arke Stairs for it's innovative and space saving design and it fit the look of our beach house motif. - Mary, Cedar Hill Design Center, Inc."

Karina Modular Stair Kit Opens Up a Tight Space

Here is a note we recieved from one of our customers who recently installed our Karina modular stair kit:

"I was hired to build a set of stairs that, over the phone, were descibed to me as leading to an attic space being converted to a bedroom. The Height was just over 8' 6"and the run had to be less than 6'. No way a typical run/rise of 11/7-ish would work - even with a landing and a turn. So, I decided to search for spiral-type stairs for ideas. I stumbled on the Arke web site and was awestruck by the Karina modular stair kit and I ended up turning the customer on to. It was everything needed to fit the bill, including the price. I installed the Karina in less than a day, never having done it before. I have to admit that I started the night before, assembling all the little set screws in the parts they belonged in. Would I recommend this to anyone? ABSOLUTELY! Would I install another? ABSOLUTELY! My only recomendation is that it would be a terrific enhancement if the manufacturer could provide some kind of scribe marks or indents in the frame pieces to line them up with the next for the common methods of installation. Oh, I also would like to add, the packaging was phenominal! Everything came in a very sturdy crate approximately 18" tall 24" wide and 4' deep. The shipping crate now stores wood scraps for my fire pit in the backyard!" - Peter R. - Saugus, MA

Arke Stairs is proud to be a part of ABC's hit show 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.' Arke donated a Civik model spiral staircase that the show's experts used in the the Wofford family's new home gym.

Arke donated a Civik stair kit to the ABC team and was available to answer any questions that the cast and crew had during the 7 day home makeover. The Wofford family were thrilled with their new home and all of the companies that helped make it happen. We were honored to help!
